Let’s see…. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from a nationally recognized boarding school in suburban Detroit. After high school, I moved onto Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan where I am currently working towards a BS in Computer Information Technology and a minor in Computer Science & Management Information Systems. I am a Microsoft Certified Professional and currently work in a public sector environment as an IT Manager.
Nick,
I have read and re-read your successful published notes about how to make your BB Bold 9000 on AT&T work with your Cradlepoint MBR-500 Router. Congratulations on your success!
I’m here in Dallas, trying to do the same thing, except with the larger 3 port MBR-1000. Same software on my Bold 9000 on AT&T.
Tethering is turned on by AT&T. Had success with Tetherberry to my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth. What I want, however, is for my MBR-1000 to work. By the way, Tetherberry wants to see proxy, instead of ISP.CINGULAR, with no password.
I have followed your example to a T. Even proofread it twice on the Cradlepoint side. I still get a Yellow LED on my USB interface display on the MBR-1000 and the software under Modem says: Offline in red.
The only thing you did not comment on was your settings on your BB Bold under Options->Advanced Options->TCP/IP. I tried to echo the same settings you listed on the MBR software, but to no avail. Still same Yellow LED, instead of the needed Green. I also changed the permissions as you had suggested to Allow, and I have pulled the USB cable for 10 seconds each time.
I don’t think I missed anything. I wonder what you might suggest?
Under Modem-> Info page, it completely shows the RIM device, ESN etc. PIN status is ready
By the way, just for the heck of it, I downloaded your zip config file but it was zipped. Macs don’t like zips.
Many thanks. I’m hoping you still could be of help.
Be Safe! Txs much.
